MKDS Architects updated the Allen
School’s two campuses in Brooklyn and
Queens. Designs for a new corporate
image, space planning, interiors and
signage maximize the dual function
of each floor as learning environments
and administrative office. Relocated
offices and departments improve
circulation and efficiency, and are brought
into alignment with a new aesthetic.
The school’s colors form the basis of the
color scheme throughout, with warm tones
of wood and orange. The new logo is
interpreted in polished stainless steel
in the lobbies with light boxes
to showcase the school activities.
